TeamLab Inc.(hereinafter referred to as “teamLab”) hereby sets forth and will implement and maintain this privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as this “Privacy Policy”) with regard to the treatment of information of users (such users hereinafter referred to as “Users”, and such information as “User Information”, including personal information and information related to personal information) who use the application called “Catching and Collecting Forest” provided by teamLab (hereinafter referred to as the “App”), as follows. Users must give their consent to this Privacy Policy at the time when they first turn on the App and prior to using the App. Users may check this Privacy Policy at any time from the settings screen of the App. The meaning of terms used in this Privacy Policy shall be governed by the meaning of such terms as are defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Personal Data Protection Act’).

Article 1 Basic Principle

TeamLab has recognized the importance to Users of their personal information. To protect such information thoroughly, teamLab will comply with the Personal Data Protection Act and any other relevant laws and regulations, as well as guidelines and any other rules established by the government authorities. Furthermore, in addition to this Privacy Policy, TeamLab has also established and is committed to implement, maintain and make continuous efforts to improve the general privacy policy of teamLab and the “teamLab’s Regulations on the Protection of Personal Data” (the TeamLab’s Regulations).

The information automatically acquired including: Device identifiers, advertising IDs, information about the device and connection environment, location information, and the User’s activities on this App.

Article 3 Purpose of Use of User Information

TeamLab will use User Information acquired through this App to the extent necessary for the following purposes:

to provide the service of this App;
to analyze activities of Users in the exhibition venue where teamLab`s works are displayed and to improve teamLab`s works;
to respond to inquiries, requests for consultations and complaints from Users;

Article 4 Provision to a Third Party and Joint Use of Personal Information

This article applies to cases where personal information is included in User Information acquired by teamLab through this App.

Provision of personal information to a Third Party

TeamLab shall not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the relevant user, unless otherwise permitted by law.

Joint use of personal information

TeamLab and the group companies of TeamLab listed below (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Group”) will share and jointly use the personal information acquired to the extent necessary to achieve the “Purpose of Use of User Information” as specified in article 3. The Business Operator Handling Personal Information of the Group shall be “TeamLab Inc.” (which having its registered address at 2-12 Kanda-Ogawa-Machi Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo, 101-0052 Japan and its founder named Toshiyuki Inoko)

Personal Information for Joint use: Name; home address; information relating to employer or organization to which a user is a member, including company or school name, etc.; telephone number; mailing address; and other personal information acquired in order to carry out business of the Group.
Scope of Joint Users:
- teamLab Engineering Inc.;
- teamLab Integrate Inc.;
- teamLab Sales Inc.;
- teamLab Architects Inc.;
- any and all other companies in which teamLab has a direct or indirect equity relationship, including teamLab`s subsidiaries.

Article 5 Disclosure of Retained personal data and Filing of Complaints

If Users wish to request a “disclosure, etc” (notification of the purpose of use, disclosure(including disclosure of records of provision to third parties), correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use, etc.) of the personal data retained by teamLab or file a complaint, please contact the address provided in the “article 10 Contact for inquiries and complaints”. TeamLab will respond to such requests after confirming the identity of the requester.

Article 6 Proper Management and Protection of Personal Information

TeamLab will manage personal information properly and strictly as set forth below:

Establishment of basic policy: TeamLab has established a basic policy in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines in order to ensure appropriate handling of personal information.
Establishment of rules in the handling of personal information: TeamLab has established the TeamLab’s Regulations and information management rules in order to ensure appropriate handling of personal information.
Technological information security control measures: TeamLab manages access to personal information, the record and analysis of access logs, take measures against computer viruses and malicious software, and implement appropriate network management, among other measures.
Organizational Information Security Control Measures/People Information Security Control Measures: TeamLab has implemented measures to ensure appropriate supervision of the handling of Personal Information by teamLab`s employees, including ensuring that its employees receive training on teamLab`s internal rules and regulations to prevent any unauthorized disclosure, inappropriate use, or other similar incident involving Personal Information caused by its employees. In addition, teamLab has entered into agreements with, or obtained written pledges from, its employees regarding their non-disclosure obligations.
Physical Information Security Control Measures: TeamLab has implemented measures to ensure appropriate physical protection of Personal Information, including the management of our facilities, monitoring access to facilities and/or rooms, and appropriately managing keys to prevent any unauthorized disclosure, etc. of Personal Information.

Article 7 Continuous Improvement of Systems to Protect Personal Information

TeamLab is conducting regular audits of its systems to protect personal information. In addition, teamLab continues to monitor variation in its business, the state of society, and advances in information management systems, in conjunction with its review of its systems to protect Personal Information, including this Privacy Policy, to continuously improve its system to protect Personal Information.

Article 8 Acquisition and Use of User Information by way of Information Collection Modules

In this App, teamLab may acquire and use User Information by means of an information collection module (i.e., a program provided by a third party with functions to acquire and analyze User Information) as provided below. In addition, each information collection module provider will have access to User Information for the purpose of providing and managing services related to the information collection module. Please refer to the privacy policy of each information collection module provider for details on teamLab`s handling of Personal Information.

Article 9 Suspension of Transmission and Deletion of User Information

In this App, teamLab doesn`t provide measures to suspend automatic transmission of User Information. If a user wishes to suspend automatic transmission of its User Information, please uninstall this App. In addition, with regard to the User information that has already been acquired up to the time of any uninstallation of this App, TeamLab will continue to use it to the extent specified in the preceding article 8.
