体験型ミュージアム「チームラボプラネッツ」に巨大パブリック・アートが登場

 2018年7月に開館して以来、これまで180万人を動員してきた東京・豊洲の「チームラボプラネッツ TOKYO DMM」に、巨大なパブリック・アートが登場した。  チームラボプラネッツ TOKYO DMMは、巨大な4つの作品空間を中心とした、計7つの作品による「水に入るミュージアム」。身体ごと没入する「Body Immersive」というコンセプトのもと、インタラクティブな作品群によって構成されている。(Excerpt from the text)

チームラボの作品がテレビやスマホのなかに。「フラワーズ ボミング ホーム」を公開

 新型コロナの感染拡大で自宅時間が長くなっている状況を受け、チームラボが家のテレビで作品鑑賞できる新プロジェクトをスタートさせた。  8月6日に公開された「フラワーズ ボミング ホーム」は、世界中の人々が描いた「花」がひとつの作品となって、変化し続けるというもの。  作品はYouTube Live上でリアルタイムに生成され、テレビやスマートフォンなど好きなデバイスで鑑賞が可能。巨大なディスプレイであればあるほど、鮮やかな花をより楽しめる。(Excerpt from the text)

「チームラボボーダレス」に2作品が新登場。季節限定の作品も

 6月より日時指定予約制にて再開した東京・お台場の常設ミュージアム「森ビル デジタルアート ミュージアム:エプソン チームラボボーダレス」。そこに、ふたつの新作が加わった。  ひとつは、異常に増え続け、一斉に散る巨大な花の作品《増殖する無量の生命》。花々が1本1本生まれ、約10万本まで増殖し、そして散り朽ちていくものだ。来場者が触ると、花の方から倒れかかるように折れ曲がり朽ちていき、そして新しいものが生まれる。また、季節に応じて花々も移り変わっていき、8月はひまわり、朝顔、藤の景色を体験できる。(Excerpt from the text)

ジェームズ・タレルやチームラボらによる大規模な没入型作品が集結。「ペース」が立ち上げた新プロジェクト「Superblue」とは?

 ロンドン、香港、パロアルト、ソウル、ジュネーヴなどの都市に複数のギャラリーを運営しているメガギャラリー「ペース」が、新たな事業「Superblue」を立ち上げることを発表した。  Superblueは、ペースの社長兼CEOのマーク・グリムシャーとペース・ロンドンの社長モリー・デント・ブロックルハーストによって共同設立されたもので、複数の大規模な作品とインタラクティブな作品を長期的に展示する体験型施設。参加アーティストには、ジェームズ・タレルやニック・ケイヴ、チームラボ、エス・デブリン、名和晃平、JRなど、没入体験型の作品で知られているアーティストが名を連ねる。(Excerpt from the text)

Take a walk in the digital wilderness at teamLab Forest Fukuoka

It’s the day after its public opening on July 21 and teamLab’s latest major spectacle, a new museum of interactive digital installations in Fukuoka, is oddly quiet. The art collective’s installations are known worldwide for attracting throngs of visitors eager to chase moving digital imagery, interact with exhibits and linger over a profusion of colors, lights and sounds. Superblue experiential art centre to launch in Miami this December

A new art centre known as Superblue will open in Miami this December. But the commercial art venture will not sell paintings or sculptures. Instead, the enterprise—which started as an initiative of the mega gallery Pace—will generate revenue through ticket sales and be dedicated to immersive, experiential works of art, created at the point where technology and contemporary art coincide. A new experiential art center will launch this December in Miami.

A new experiential art initiative called Superblue will be opening its first experiential art center (EAC) in Miami this December. The center will focus on selling ticketed experiences rather than high-value objects with events by artists including Nick Cave, Jacolby Satterwhite, Mary Corse, DRIFT, JR, James Turrell, and Leo Villareal, among others.The 50,000-square-foot former industrial site, located across the street from the Rubell Museum, will host a number of exhibitions from artists and collectives that can stay on view for up to 18 months. teamLab's Latest Project Brings Interactive Art to Your Home

With much of the world participating in social distancing amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, digital art collective teamLab just launched an interactive project that will surely interest house-bound art enthusiasts. TeamLab art exhibition turns acorn forest into wonderland of color

TeamLab is a group that creates art work with the latest digital technology in both Japan and overseas, such as “TeamLab Borderless” in Odaiba, Tokyo, their famous exhibitions at Shimogamo Temple, one of the world’s heritage sites in Kyoto and Singapore art museum.
