Wander through the Crystal World

teamLab, 2018, Interactive Installation of Light Sculpture, LED, Endless, Sound: Hideaki Takahashi

This interactive installation artwork uses an accumulation of light points to create a sculptural body, similar to the way distinct dots of color form an image in a pointillist painting. The accumulation of lights in the three-dimensional space expresses elements of the natural world in this interactive installation.

The Crystal World is created when people use their smartphones to send elements of the natural world into it. . Each of these elements influences the others, and is influenced by the presence of people.

Other teamLab Borderless artworks can make their way into this world, transformed into 3D creations comprised of points of light.

This artwork is forever evolving, changing moment to moment due to the people in the space.

This is a continuation of the Light Sculpture - Point series, which began with teamLab Crystal Tree in 2013.
